Definition

Radio Communications HF, VHF and UHF are radio communication devices and devices that function as transmitters / receivers working in the HF, VHF and UHF frequency bands for the needs of radio stations in the terrestrial radio communication service (including Amateur Radio and Communication stations Radio Inter Residents) in accordance with the list of allocation tables in the frequency band.

>Where the device referred to is applied in the form of a mobile device (Handy Talkie) and a fixed device (RIG), among others.

The definition of UHF itself is based on wikipedia as follows :

Ultra High Frequency (UHF) is an electromagnetic wave with a frequency between 300 MHz to 3 GHz (3,000 MHz). Wavelengths range from one to 10 decimeters or about 10 cm to 1 meter, so the UHF is also known as a decimeter wave.

Radio waves with frequencies above the UHF band are super high frequency (SHF) and extremely high frequency (EHF). While the lower frequency signal is included in the very high frequency or very high frequency (VHF).

Difference between VHF and UHF

The difference between VHF and UHF antennas basically lies in their size. UHF frequency is much higher than VHF, so the antenna used is smaller. The difference in VHF and UHF transmission is only in the area of ??frequency they originate.
